JESSE M. STIEBER FIFTEEN | MALE | SINNOH | TRAINER | TEAM ROCKET - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - "No matter how hard I try, you're never satisfied. This house is not a home. I think I'm better off alone." |
Jesse's appearance is, in a word, odd. His height and build are unremarkable. He stands at an average 5'8'' and his weight is a normal 120lbs. He has the long, thin, awkward build of a teen still growing into their body and has fairly little muscle on him. While these few traits may seem regular enough, there is far more to him that makes him truly stand out.
One thing many notice first about him is his hair. While most of his hair is a solid jet black, on the left side of his head he has three white lines that cut halfway around his dark fringe hairstyle. As he was born with a minor case of piebaldism, some of the white has always been there. However, in recent years he has begun to dye his hair the way it is now as he likes the way it makes him look. Another abnormal feature would have to be his eyes. They are each an uncommon bright amber in colour that appears to be almost golden in some lights.
His clothing is another thing that many believe to be quite odd. He has a love for style and appearing presentable so most, if not all, of his clothes are formal and well made. This need to look good also carries into the colour of his clothes. Typically he just wears black and white so his clothing can match with his hair.

Jesse is, for the most part, incredibly anti-social. He typically thinks only of himself, and doesn't care who he hurts while trying to get what he wants. He is the type of person that believes that the ends always justify the means, so he has little problem with doing whatever it takes to get the job done. He is quick to use either flattery or fear to manipulate people when he believes that doing so can help him achieve his goals. He often thinks of people as being like puppets: playthings just waiting for him to control them.
When he is not trying to get something, Jesse usually shows very little emotion. His face is typically just a blank slate completely devoid of any expression. However, during these times he is not without emotion, they are just very difficult to see. At these times his face may only give a very slightly indication that he feels anything at all.
Despite all his negatives, he does still have some good qualities. He is clever, though he often uses his intelligence to help him get what he wants. Also, he is a fairly resourceful and independent person. He's good at taking care of himself. Additionally, he is quite a brave person and isn't one to let something like fear stop him. Furthermore, he is typically a very calm and decisive person.
HISTORY
Born to a wealthy family in Jubilife City, Jesse had a fairly easy time growing up. His life consisted of going to school, visiting with friends, and training Hydra, the Totodile his parents gave him to play with in lieu of a sibling. He was strong at school, popular with his peers, and a fairly gifted trainer for someone so young. He never had to worry about not getting what he wanted; every wish he had would be immediately granted by his affluent parents. On the outside, he appeared to have the perfect life, every child's dream.
Still, Jesse was unhappy. No matter what he did, he always felt out of place in the world. At school he was the one rich kid in a sea of middle-class families. At home he was the sole Pokemon trainer in a house full of businessmen. Even when he was just walking down the street his appearance always made him stick out from the crowd. He didn't feel like it would ever be possible for him to fit in.
Of course, his parents expectations of him certainly didn't help. Most of the time, they treated him like a prince, but they would only do so if he lived up to their standards. From a young age his father expected him to be strong, to be brave, to be a man. He told him that he would never get anywhere in life if he was weak. His mother, on the other hand, expected him to be studious, well-behaved, and smart. Not meeting their approval meant being punished. Anything less than perfect was not acceptable. Eventually he began to believe this too.
Then, finally, his tenth birthday came and he set out on his quest to become a powerful Pokemon trainer. Of course, by then he had already had quite a strong head start over most children his age. His first three Pokemon - his Totodile, Skarmory and Vulpix - were all given to him by his parents, and he had already begun to train each one of them. Due to this, he was able to breeze through the first few gyms in Sinnoh. For the first few months, few trainers were able to give him pause. This made him proud, overconfident in his abilities. It wasn't until he faced Volkner, the eight gym leader, that he finally had to endure a defeat.
Too ashamed and afraid to face his family, he fled to the Kanto region. While he was there, he began to hear more and more stories about the infamous Team Rocket. He had heard a bit about them back in his home region, but his parents had always tried to deafen him to such useless drivel. They had always said that Team Rocket was far away and thus people in Sinnoh had no need to worry or think about them. But now, now he was in Kanto and the Rockets were right there. It wasn't long before the criminal gang had truly captured his interest. Their strength, bravery and their tactics, the group was all his parents had wanted him to be.
Then, shortly after his fourteenth birthday, two Team Rocket grunts attacked him and attempted to steal his Pokemon. He took them both down easily. Though their weakness disappointed him, the organization itself still interested him. Having already proven himself against their members, he was soon accepted into the team as a grunt, and it wasn't long before he got his first promotion that bumped him up to a Team Rocket Agent.
