Balthazar Stetson
Name: Balthazar Edric Stetson.
Nickname: n/a
Gender: Male.
Age: Twenty.
Home Region: Johto.
Class: Team Rocket.
Position: Team Rocket Agent.
Play By: Light Yagami from Death Note.
Description: Balthazar is fairly tall, standing at about 6'2'' with a lean, but reasonably toned build. He couldn't tell you his exact weight, but it is probably somewhere around 180lbs. His hair is medium brown and usually quite messy, and his eyes are forest green with a few flecks of brown. His preferred outfit is a dark t-shirt and jeans though he often wears jackets and has been known to wear something dressy from time to time. He has several tattoos including a poem on his left shoulder, an abstract design on his right arm, and Rayquaza on his back.
Personality: Balthazar tends to be quite aloof around others and likes to make people think that he doesn't care about them or their opinions. He can be quite cold as he has taught himself over the years how to turn off his emotions. Often, he is selfish and he typically prefers just to look out for himself. He can be very distrustful of others and is very protective of the things he cares about. He usually prefers to be alone due to the fact that he has almost no people skills. This really shows when he is trying to be nice, as he tends to come across as rather awkward or shy.
Though he may be considered a terrible person by many people's standards, Balthazar does have redeeming qualities. He has a strong sense of humour and often makes jokes when he thinks a situation is too serious. He can find beauty in almost anything and he has quite an artistic soul, although he rarely lets this show. He is far more intelligent than he lets on, and is usually capable of learning new things rather quickly. Also, Balthazar is deeply spiritual, though he isn't religious. He believes that we all have a destiny and that there are many things in the universe no human could ever understand.

History: Balthazar was born in the Johto region in the bustling metropolis that is Goldenrod city. His father had left before he was born, so his mother was left to raise him and his older brother alone. His early life was quite difficult; the family had little money and most of what they managed to bring in was squandered away at the Game Corner by his mother. Eventually, Balthazar began to resort to stealing just so they could have food on the table. He got caught only once and was let off with just a warning.
During this time, his mother dated many men, though few stayed for very long. Some were good, but most were far less than ideal. As time passed, Balthazar would become increasingly hostile to these unwelcome intruders into his home. On more than one occasion this inhospitable behaviour led to violence. He still carries scars from several of these confrontations.
When Balthazar was thirteen, his brother ran away from home to become a pokemon trainer. Alex had just finished Pokemon School and couldn't handle living at home any longer. Of what became of him, Balthazar does not know. This was the last time he ever heard from his older brother.
A year later, his mother married some rich man she had had a whirlwind romance with and, as a result, the family moved to Saffron City. For a time, life was actually quite good for them, but soon things began to fall back into their usual pattern of pain and misfortune. The only that kept him going was his pidgey, Caeli, who had been a gift from his mother. She told him Caeli was a thank you for how well he had been behaving. Balthazar suspected that there was more to it, but he chose not to pry. His mother had enough on her mind already.
Three months after the family moved, Balthazar's mother disappeared without a trace. Though he could never prove anything, Balthazar was certain that his step-father was behind it. The police searched for months, but no body was ever found. The case went cold and was filed away.
Two months after the police gave up looking, Balthazar ran away. Ever since his mother had gone missing, his step-father had become progressively more aggressive towards him. Fearing he would share his mother's fate, he felt he had no choice but to leave. He had a poor reputation in the community, and his father was one of the most respected men in the city; no one would have believed if he had told them what was happening.
For several years, he lived on the streets, doing whatever he could to survive. During this time, he met a girl, another runaway, named Abigail. The two bonded quickly and, not long after Balthazar turned sixteen, she gave birth to their son who they decided to name David. Two months after this, she left, leaving him to raise their son alone.
Balthazar did everything he could to make the money he needed to take care of David. It wasn't long before his skills and desperation drew the attention of a well-known criminal organization: Team Rocket. He was offered a position in their ranks shortly before his eighteenth birthday. Balthazar, in desperate need of food, money, and shelter, accepted the proposal. He quickly proved himself to be an adept trainer and was eventually given a charmander the group had stolen as a reward for his good work. Soon afterwards, he was promoted to the rank of Team Rocket Agent; a promotion he hopes will just be the first of many.

Balthazar trudged through the garden, indignant at the gall of those who dared to summon him like some faithful canine. "Humans and their ignorance." he muttered. As he walked he thought about why he was here; he supposed that he didn't truly have to come, as he doubted they would be strong enough to capture him, but yet he still answered their call. I suppose it's because I have nothing left anywhere else.
The school seems nice enough, he thought as he approached. Looks a bit like a mad scientist's lair, but it'll do. He began to glance around at his surroundings, having ignored them to focus on his thoughts up until now. The garden was reasonably nice, he saw quite a few students gawking some feature or another, but he wasn't all that impressed. I've seen far better. As far as schools went, this one seemed relatively good. It was clean, well-kept, and it had a curious air about it that Balthazar had never felt before. This place may be more interesting than I initially thought.
A slight wind blew and he pulled his black blazer tighter around himself, mimicking the action of the humans nearby. Hot or cold made no difference to him, no matter his surroundings, his body temperature would not change; he always remained comfortable. Due to this, he often dressed lightly; right now he was just wearing a light, black t-shirt under his blazer. It had always amused him to see the confused glances given to him by humans when he wandered out in the cold, looking like he was in the tropics.Humans are such stupid creatures sometimes.
He paused briefly as a redheaded girl placed a badge on his chest. A badge, not a pin? he thought as he glanced at the pin that had been placed on the boy in front of him. I guess they're sorting us. He quickly studied the other students around him, checking what they had been given. Humans and non-humans would be my guess. He glanced back at the girl handing out the badges and pins. He didn't even need to to look at her chest, one glance at her eyes was all it took. His dark eyes narrowed. Definitley not a human.
It was then when he finally gave in to the push of the children behind him. Let's just get this over with. He walked quickly through the doors and into the auditorium. Many of the seats were already taken, it hardly seemed like there could be enough to fit everyone still filing through the doors. "Great," he murmured, sarcasm staining his voice, "I just love crowds." He wandered until he found a open seat, scaring off a boy getting ready to sit there. He let out a soft sigh, and sat, waiting for the speech to begin.
